കോഴിക്കോട് : പാളയം പച്ചക്കറിമാർക്കറ്റ് കല്ലുത്താൻകടവിലേക്ക് മാറ്റുന്നതിൽ പ്രതിഷേധിച്ച് ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച ഉച്ചവരെ പാളയത്ത് ഹർത്താൽ നടത്തും. ജില്ലാ വെജിറ്റബിൾ മാർക്കറ്റ് കോ-ഓർഡിനേഷൻ കമ്മിറ്റിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലാണ് ഹർത്താൽ. അർധരാത്രി 12 മുതൽ ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് ഒരുമണിവരെയാണ് ഹർത്താൽ. കടകളും ഉന്തുവണ്ടികളുമെല്ലാം സമരത്തിൽ പങ്കുചേരും.

മാർക്കറ്റിലേക്കെത്തേണ്ടെന്ന് പച്ചക്കറി ലോറിക്കാരെ നേരത്തെതന്നെ അറിയിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. പണിമുടക്കുന്ന തൊഴിലാളികളും കച്ചവടക്കാരും കോർപ്പറേഷൻ ഓഫീസിലേക്ക് മാർച്ച് നടത്തും. തുടർന്ന് നടക്കുന്ന ധർണ കേരള വ്യാപാരി വ്യവസായി ഏകോപന സമിതി നേതാവ് അബ്ദുൾ സലാം വടകര ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്യും. കല്ലുത്താൻകടവിലേക്ക് മാറ്റാതെ പാളയത്ത് തന്നെ തുടരാൻ അനുവദിക്കണമെന്നാണ് ഇവിടെയുള്ളവരുടെ ആവശ്യം.
Kozhikode: The Kozhikode district vegetable market committee is organizing a strike today against the decision to shift the vegetable market from Palayam to Kalluthankadavu. The strike, led by the District Vegetable Market Co-ordination Committee, will be observed from midnight until noon. All vendors and traders, including those selling fish and poultry, will participate in the protest during the market hours.
To ensure that the message reaches the vegetable lorries, the workers will directly inform them. Laborers and cart pullers will also march to the Corporation Office. Following this, the inauguration of the Kerala Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samithi (Kerala Traders and Industrialists Unity Committee) will take place, led by its president, Abdul Salam Vadakara. It is essential to continue the protest without shifting the market to Kalluthankadavu, as per the demands of the local people here.
