ഫറോക്ക്:വാഹന പുക പരിശോധന കേന്ദ്രം ഉടമയിൽ നിന്നു കൈക്കൂലി വാങ്ങുന്നതിനിടെ മോട്ടർ വെഹിക്കിൾ ഇൻസ്പെക്ടർ പിടിയിൽ. ഫറോക്ക് സബ് ആർടി ഓഫിസിലെ എംവിഐ വി.എ.അബ്ദുൽ ജലീലിനെയാണു വിജിലൻസ് ഡിവൈഎസ്പി ഇ.സുനിൽ കുമാറിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ അഴിഞ്ഞിലത്തെ വീട്ടിൽ നിന്ന് അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തത്. പ്രതിയെ കോടതി റിമാൻഡ് ചെയ്തു. പരിശോധനയ്ക്ക് എത്തിയപ്പോൾ സ്ഥാപന ഉടമ സ്ഥലത്തുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ലെന്ന കാരണം പറഞ്ഞു ഫറോക്ക് ചുങ്കത്തെ വാഹന പുക പരിശോധന കേന്ദ്രത്തിന്റെ ലോഗിൻ ഐഡി എംവിഐ അബ്ദുൽ ജലീൽ മൂന്നാഴ്ച മുൻപ് ബ്ലോക്ക് ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. ഇതു തുറന്നു കിട്ടാൻ സ്ഥാപന ഉടമ പലവട്ടം സമീപിച്ചെങ്കിലും എംവിഐ കൂട്ടാക്കിയില്ല. 10,000 രൂപ വേണമെന്നായിരുന്നു എംവിഐയുടെ ആവശ്യം. അവധി ദിനമായ ഞായറാഴ്ച തുക വീട്ടിലെത്തിക്കണമെന്ന് എംവിഐ നിർദേശിച്ചു. ഇക്കാര്യം വിജിലൻസിനെ അറിയിച്ച സ്ഥാപന ഉടമ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരുടെ നിർദേശ പ്രകാരം ഫിനോഫ്തലിൻ പുരട്ടിയ നോട്ടുകളുമായി രാവിലെ എംവിഐയുടെ വീട്ടിലെത്തി തുക കൈമാറി.
വിജിലൻസ് സംഘം മഫ്തിയിൽ എത്തിയതു കണ്ടു സംശയം തോന്നിയ എംവിഐ പണം പെട്ടെന്ന് അടുക്കളയിലെ ചാക്കിലേക്കു മാറ്റി. ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ നടത്തിയ തിരച്ചിലിൽ പിന്നീട് ചാക്കിൽ നിന്നു പണം കണ്ടെത്തി.
ഇടുക്കി കാഞ്ഞാർ സ്വദേശിയായ അബ്ദുൽ ജലീൽ 2 വർഷം മുൻപാണ് ഫറോക്ക് സബ് ആർടി ഓഫിസിൽ എംവിഐയായി എത്തിയത്. എംവിഐക്കെതിരെ വകുപ്പുതല നടപടിക്ക് വിജിലൻസ് ശുപാർശ ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്.
ഇൻസ്പെക്ടർമാരായ എം.പി.സന്ദീപ് കുമാർ, പി.രാജേഷ് കുമാർ, എസ്ഐമാരായ കെ.ഹരീഷ് കുമാർ, കെ.സുനിൽ, പി.രാധാകൃഷ്ണൻ, സുജിത്ത് പെരുവടത്ത്, എഎസ്ഐ കെ.അനിൽകുമാർ, സീനിയർ സിപിഒമാരായ ടി.അബ്ദുൽ സലാം, റീനു കുമാർ, സി.ഷൈജിത്ത്, സിപിഒമാരായ എം.സനോജ്, എൻ.രാഹുൽ, കെ.നിതിൻ ലാൽ, വി.ജയേഷ്, പി.സുജിഷ എന്നിവർ വിജിലൻസ് സംഘത്തിലുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
Kozhikode:Motor vehicle inspector arrested while taking bribe from the owner of vehicle smoke inspection center. MVI VA Abdul Jalil of Farook sub RT office was arrested from his house in Azhinjilam under the leadership of Vigilance DYSP E. Sunil Kumar. The court remanded the accused. MVI Abdul Jalil had blocked the login ID of Farook Customs Vehicle Smoke Inspection Center three weeks ago because the establishment owner was not there when he came for inspection. The owner of the institution approached several times to get this opened, but MVI did not cooperate. MVI demanded Rs 10,000. MVI suggested that the amount should be brought home on Sunday, which is a holiday. The owner of the establishment, who informed the vigilance about this, came to MVI's house in the morning with notes smeared with phenolphthalein and handed over the amount as per the instructions of the officials.
Seeing that the vigilance team had reached Mufti, MVI became suspicious and quickly transferred the money to the sack in the kitchen. During the search conducted by the officers, the money was later found in the bag.
Abdul Jalil, a native of Kanjar, Idukki, joined Farooq sub RT office as MVI two years ago. Vigilance has recommended departmental action against MVI.
